SysPrep fails after KB3163018 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can no longer capture an image once KB3163018 is applied.

This update appears to be doing something to Windows 10 built in apps. When this update is installed Sysprep always fails with "<random app> was installed for a user, but not provisioned for all users". I took every precaution to prevent windows from being able to automatically update these apps while building an image. Removing the update from our WSUS server has immediately resolved the issue. Is it possible KB3163018 is updating apps and in such a way that they now interfere with Sysprep?

I've noticed numerous posts on these forums and others complaining of this problem in the past week and some claim it is related to Windows Updates in general but I haven't yet seen KB3163018 cited as the cause (maybe I'm just bad a searching). Am I alone?
