Restore deleted e-mail? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can someone please tell me what command(s) I'm overlooking in the Exchange Management Shell to restore an e-mail that has been deleted (cannot recover from Outlook) but is still within our deleted items retention period?

  • This is usually something you do from within the client interface, OWA or Outlook for example.

In OWA, for example, you would look under "Options" and then in the "Deleted Items" section.

The exact path in Outlook varies depending on the version.

Or is the problem that you are looking in the appropriate place but cannot see the message anyway?

  • Hello

An email soft deleted moves to deleted Items folder and an email hard deleted moves to "Recover Deleted Items" within retention period.

Go to Recover deleted item folder in outlook and check if this email exist there.
