Hyper-V Guest Connected to Domain experiencing slow shutdown

  • Good day,

I have been having an issue with Hyper-V Guest's that Connect to a domain (Windows 10 x64 Enterprise, Windows 7 x64 Enterprise) that experience slow shutdown times of 5 to 10 minutes and stick at 90% complete. If I remove the VM from the domain, it will shut down in 10-20 seconds. I have looked at the issue with Server 2008 experiencing this problem, but have not found a resolution that works for non-server OS installations. Your help would be much appreciated.

  • Sounds DNS related so I'd look along that line. Make sure the DC and problem machine are not multi-homed and have DC's own address on connection properties for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS
