AppV 5 SP3 creating ActiveX plugin sequence package and how to start RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to start IE11 on my Server 2012 using an ActiveX plugin.

I read I could sequence the ActiveX plugin with AppV 5 SP3 sequencer.

But then, how to proceed ?

Just deploy the package and the ActiveX control is available in IE ?

Or is it possible to start trough the ActiveX sequenced package IE11 with the ActiveX control and automatically start the required website ?

    A:

    1. Start the sequencer and select Add-on or Plugin
    2. Install the plugin by running the installer or visiting the website
    3. Finish the sequencing wizard
    4. Add a shortcut to the local Internet Explorer

B: Yes, but only if you use the RunVirtual key. More information about RunVirtual here.

C: Yes, that possible but only with a shortcut. Just add the address behind iexplore.exe in the shortcut. For example:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe http://www.google.com
