Cumulative Update 5 Client RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've applied CU 5 to my server, but when I install the CCM Client to new OS install, it installs ver 5.00.7958.1203 of the client which is ConfigMgr 2012 R2 CU1, I then have to deploy the ConfigMgr 2012 R2 CU5 package to my clients.

How can I get the latest client to deploy when I perform a new OS install within my TS?

    Best regards, Wayne

  • By default only the latest full version of the client will be installed. To make sure that the latest CU is applied during the task sequence, you can use the default MSI property named PATCH in the Setup Windows and ConfigMgr step.
