  • Question

  • Hi All,

If a task of 8 hours is assigned to resource A and if he enter the actual has "0h" and the remaining work is changed to "0h" has the work was complete without any effort and submits the task update to PM.

The Timephased work is 0% completed in the above task and Total work is "0d" , is this the feature of Project server or can that Timephase task be update be 100% completed in this scenario.

    Thanks and Regards

I think a better approach would be for the team member to contact the PM and let the PM know that the task is no longer needed in the project.  Then the PM could use the Inactivate feature on the Task ribbon to cancel the task.  I would recommend this approach personally because the approach you are currently trying to use will not end up marking the task as 100% complete.  Hope this helps.
