Change language SharePoint services RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed SharePoint Services 3.0 including some language packs (on a different server) but it seems that a user cannot change his language. Is it correct that the language packs for SharePoint Services 3.0 only allow to create a new website with an different language, but that a user cannot change is own language?

  • That is correct.

There are more options in MOSS 2007 but in WSS 3.0 the only thing you can do with different languages is to install a different language via a Language Pack and once that is done the only thing you can do more than you could do before is to create a new site in one of the languages added via the addition of language packs.
