Upgrade to S4B 2019 ot Teams? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have Skype for Business 2015 with hybrid setup with Office 365 E3 license. We are thinking to upgrade to Skype for Business 2019 and in dilemma whether to upgrade Skype for Business or move onto Teams from S4b2015. We are in the process of migrating mailboxes from EX 2016 to Exchange online.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Tek-Nerd,

According to your description, the SFB is hybrid in your environment, and you are migrating mailboxes from on-premise to online.

Based on the information above, I suggest you could upgrade SFB Server 2015 to Teams directly, as you have O365 online environment, and there is no doubt Teams is way forward compare to on-prem solution.
