rendom.exe is a tool to rename an existing Active Directory domain. Create new Active Directory child domain. After that, you can rename the two domains viceversa. But, you will not be able to do it in one go. If A is the current Main Domain, you need to create a new domain called B as the child domain of A.
Then, you can rename the two domains.
1. Rename A to C
2. Rename B to A
3. Rename C to BRenaming the Active Directory Domain using rendom.exe do require some pre-requisites. Please make sure to ensure that your current AD Infra meet them.
After renaming the domains as required, use the ADMT (Active Directory Migration Tool) for any restructuring required.
Please tell if you have identified any other answers/solutions for this.
Thanks
