October and November Security Only Quality update causes IM/Lync and CPU to spike 100% on x86 bit computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Just want to share that the October Security Only Update (KB3192391) and November Security Only Update (3197867) cause the 32 bit computers or x86 machines to break Lync and spike to 100% CPU.  The version of Lync that we are running is Lync 2010 version 4.0.7577.4521.

The solution is to not install this update or just install the December KB3205394 to cover any new Security Only update.

I'd like to share in case anyone out there has same issue.
