We regularly receive users reporting that they receive access violation error messages when using ProClarity Web Professional (6.2.2216.140).
Example 1 : An error occurred in the application: Access Violation at address 04AA3E32 in module 'vcl70.bpl'. Read of address 00000068. Typically in ProClarity itself when manipulating or viewing a report.
Example 2 : Access violation at address 40005886 in module 'rtl70.bpl' Read of address 00000000. Typically when logging into Pro Clarity.
Ive done some searches on this forum and internet and believe the issue lies within two areas :
1) Reinstall of software on client machine 2) Client machine running low on memory
However it is difficult to find a definitive cause of the issue. Would anyone in this forum be able to provide some guidance on typically what causes the error messages above and steps which can be taken to stop them occuring.
There is no definitive answer as to why these errors occur, however they seem to have dissipated since the 6.3 release. I suggest loading 6.3 eval to see if you still encounter this adverse behavior.

Thanks Amanda for getting back to me - its a shame there is no definitive answer but to be honest I did think this would be the case. Its good to hear that 6.3 seems to have removed the occurrence of these errors. We will be looking to move to 6.3 in the near (ish) future so I shall let them know your comments.
