Index issues using SSRS RRS feed

  • Question

  • The report runs find on Dev environment after deploying into Share point but it throws following after deploying the same report on Production environment.

  • Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

The report having exapnd and collopse on one of the column that will bring up upto 32 columns.

Any idea, what could be the issue with environemnt. I am assuming this should be environment b'coz it works fine one environment but not on other environment.

  • This is really a Reporting Services post and should be moved to here - http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/threads. Are you seeing any warning messages in Visual Studio when you are trying to preview this report at all? You might want to address these to see if that resolves the issue like overlapping items, sometimes these might cause unexpected results. Have you verified the SSRS build numbers between the two environments? Is it possible that they are different and that the DEV environment is running a different service pack or cumulative update than production?

  • I could able to find one more clue on this. Look like this issue is related to Share point but not SSRS because when the report is deployed to Main site then it is throwing this error if the report is deployed to Sub/child site then it is working fine.

any idea why? is there a way to overcome with settings?
