Direct Links to Google drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there

I run a school website and have created direct clickable links from the website to Google drive folders for information.

When you click them, the browser hangs and takes a couple of minutes to load them but if you copy and paste the link into the address bar, it loads instantly!

    Advice please.

Have tested on Chrome and Firefox with no problems

    Many thanks

    Will

  • Hi Will,

    try

Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, Trusted sites icon, 'Sites' button... remove any google domains from the list (*.google.com, youtube.com etc).....

IE has a security zone setting to prevent navigation into a zone of lower integrity...

Also make sure your link is using https and you are allowing public access to the gdrive folder..

and that IE's tracking protection is turned off (blue circle icon in the IE address bar or the Tools menu).

    Regards.

  • Hi William,

Based on your description, it seems that the direcrt link didn't work fine.

Would you please post back the website with this link so that we could test also?
