Vista Device Manager 'Ports' category RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys

I have a HP TC1100 PC Tablet and have just installed Vista Home Premium. I have also just purchased a I-Tech Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard (VKB) and haveinstalled the software, however, the device is looking to connect using a COM port and cannot find one.

When I look in Device Manager I don't have the 'Ports' category listed and therefore cannot view COM/LPT port allocation.

I am new to Vista so can anyone help please?

  • Hi Lee,

According to I-Tech official website, this product do not support Windows Vista. It is hardware manufacturers’ responsibility to develop device drivers for their hardware devices to work with the related operating systems.

Given this situation, I suggest you contact I-Tech support to confirm whether they will develop this device driver for Windows Vista soon. Thank you for your understanding.
