  • Hi,

This is a known issue, it occurs because Windows 10, version 1803 enforces a policy that configures Vmcompute.exe not to allow any non-Microsoft DLL files to be loaded.

To fix this issue, check whether you have a non-Microsoft DLL file loaded in the Vmcompute.exe process. To do this, you may use some tools such as process explorer.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer

One possible cause of this issue is your antivirus software, please check it.

    Best Regards,

    Tao

  • Hi!

What build of Windows 10 are you running? Is this happening to all virtual machines?

There's a KB article about an issue with Hyper-V virtual machines which don't start after upgrading Windows 10.
