Exchange 2010 only ASCII characters? RRS feed

  • When I try to create a new database with the name in Cyrillic, I get an error - "The value must contain only ASCII characters". How do I create a database with Cyrillic name?

    I have to say that there is no other answers better than Martina's.

    If you use Cyrillic name by copying from one word file, then I suggest you firstly paste the name into one txt file. After then copy it and paste it into "Mailbox database name" box.

  • Even if you manage to do so using copy and paste tricks, I would not recommend to do so, this can produce different unforeseen negative effects.
