Graphic card RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was having a lot of trouble with my graphics, my card might be giving me the problems, I have a Nvidia GForce Ti200 with 64mb ram. Can anybody tell me if this is the case, and also:

     1. What ram would be more suited to vista.

     2. Where do I find out if I have a PCI or AGP card in my machine.

     Thanks Robin

  • Thanks Bruce, you were right of course. After a bit of hunting through microsoft web site, they are saying that 128mb is needed for graphics. So I had to buy a Radeon 9550 with 256mb memory to get it to work.

  • That card is kinda small to run Vista. I have a Ti4200 MSI card in n NF2 build and it has problems even trying to run the MS games included. There's a hardware compatibility chart here on the Vista website. If you can give a MFg name and model # then your slot cofig could be determined, but I'm pretty sure it's an agp slot.
