  • Hi - you need to create a sample LDIF file so that the MA can use it to discover the schema.  The LDIF format is not that complicated, and the best starting point is for you to go here and grab one of the sample LDIF files (displayed about half way down ... save this as a .TXT file and make sure you specify UTC-8 as the "code page"), then change it to match the schema you want.

  • If a run profile of any management agent is executing when you try to save then you will get this error.  Sounds like you are updating a existing system (and a very old one at that ... going by the word MIIS instead of ILM or FIM) so make sure you find out more about how that has been set up before extending it.  Check the windows task scheduler for any running script jobs.  Is this a lab environment or a production server?  If you are updating a production server you risk compromising the existing operations if you change it without proper planning and coordination ...

  • P.S. if you can't see any Windows Task Scheduler job, then there are other ways the run profile could be being executed ... you may have to start with the Windows Task Scheduler and look for the scripting process, and find the corresponding service via that ...
