Microsoft Fingerprint Reader/Digital Persona 2.01 requires two scans every time RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have several Vista SP1 32-bit machines with the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader and Digital Persona 2.01 on them.  After a login is registered with Digital Persona it takes an unually long time after a scan (~25 seconds) and then asks the user to perform a secondary scan in a window titled "Verify Your Identity" after which it immediately fills in the fields and works like it should have on the first scan of the user's finger.

    Any thoughts as to how to eliminate the second scan?

  • Hi

    This issue may be caused by the hardware driver and software that are not installed properly.

    I suggest that you uninstall DigitalPersona Password Manager 2.0, disable anti-virus and reinstall it on one computer to test if it can resolve this issue.

    To uninstall DigitalPersona Password Manager 2.0.

    ==================

    1. Click Start, in the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter.

    2. Find the entry of DigitalPersona Password Manager 2.0, and remove it.

    Please then download the program from the following website.

    After downloading, temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall, and then install the program.

    Is the issue resolved?
