Ways of making a form? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I would like to create a form, "integrated" with Sharepoint. I am having great problems verifying all the possible ways to solve this. I dont have much Sharepoint experience. Please help!

The goal of the form is to allow casual employees to ask for specific goods, like new computers, new office furniture etc. Everything will be inside of our intranet, and based on a Sharepoint website, supporting domain authentication.

We need to make some kind of "workflow" here, because every request should be firstly sent to a superior person / boss and next - only if approved - to our financial department. The biggest problem is to choose a way of making such form.

Can we use WSS for that purpose, or we have to upgrade to MOSS?

Can Infopath forms solve this problem? Can it be done in WSS?

Perhaps a custom web part will be the easiest solution? Is "Son of Smartpart" good for that?

What about sharepoint workflows? Do you think it's worth to implement such a thing in this context?

Is Sharepoint a good place for custom forms anyway?

Please advise me the best solution and tools for my problem.

Thank you in advance for reply!
