Duplicate use causes Partial Fail with Team Members SharePoint group RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, Under my groups in SharePoint i get a partial fail under the "Team Members

Each time i try and sync the AD resource pool i get the error below:

    Standard Information:PSI Entry Point:

    PWA Site URL: http://url/PWA
SSP Name: Project Server Service Application

A resource could not be updated during Project Server Active Directory Synchronization because a duplicate windows account name conflict occured that could not be resolved. Resource GUID: xxxxxxxx-6c87-434f-ba77-f10a0c7df759. Resource Name Anelia Liebenberg (domain\user2). Windows Account:

i also see this error there:

    Standard Information:PSI Entry Point:
    Project User: Domain\User1

Changes were detected for a resource during Project Server Active Directory Synchronization. However, the changes could not be applied because the resource could not be checked out. The checkout failed because the resource is checked out to another user. Resource GUID: xxxxxxxx-3e5c-40ab-bfe1-83a5c94d7fba

i Got a url saying i must run the following:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/projectserver2010general/thread/cdef8d73-f9c9-490b-b676-01c3585f416b

    update MSP_RESOURCES SET WRES_AD_GUID=NULL

    WHERE RES_UID='b8e4625c-dcf6-4b3d-a624-68b2d58d3f66'

if i run it i get the (0 row(s) affected) so that is not changing anything?

    Thanks!

Before executing AD sync, Check-in all checked-out resources, by navigating to Server Settings-Force Enterprise Objects-Check in Resources
