Phone sign-in on Windows 10 Azure AD Joined device RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Does phone-sign on Windows 10 only work for personal Microsoft Accounts?
I have a Windows 10 Azure AD joined laptop and managed to configure the MS Authenticator app on my iPhone and have the option for phone sign-in, but I can't get it to work.

    Arnaud

  • Hi Arnaudvh,

Do you mean you want to sign into your PC with your phone?

If I understand is correctly, for now, MFA does not support that.

Microsoft recommend signing in with Windows Hello on Windows 10 using your face, fingerprint, or a PIN.

    Best regards,

    Jason

  • Hi Jason,

I managed to do it a different way :-)
Last night I installed the fall update on my laptop and there are now more configuration options for Windows Hello through a local GPO.
I added my mobile phone in Intune and configured Windows Hello through this new local GPO and I'm using my iPhone as a companion device and I now have a second factor.
I login with my PIN and need to have my iPhone paired and in close proximity.
I also configured the lock option and played with the rssiMin and rssiMaxDelta settings to autolock my laptop.
    Works great :-)

    Best regards,
    Arnaud
