   Check the file size of your ISO image.
  
  32 bit version is 2.4 gigs
  64 bit version is 3.15 gigs

  Plus when you try to load it , it will tell you it is not made for your system if it is wrong . I know . I have 64 at the office and 32 at home tried to load the one from office at home and it said soooo sorry. well maybe not in those words but close.   That only applies if you've got a CPU that isn't a 64 bit chip - i.e. a Pentium with the IA64 extensions (or later, Core, Core 2 or I7) or an AMD Athlon 64 (or X2, Phenom, etc...).

  For Windows 7 Ultimate the builds are as follows:
   
  The 32 Bit version is: GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso
  
  The 64 Bit version is: GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.iso
  
  For Windows 7 Home Premium they are:
  
  32 Bit version: GB1CHPFRE_EN_DVD.iso
  
  64 Bit version: GB1CHPXFRE_EN_DVD.iso
  
  This is English language versions, of course.

  my home unit is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 HP Elite m9047c  ViiV tech. not a 64 it said so sorry but is working well at my office which is 64 bit HP laptop.

  Hmm. That's peculiar... Very peculiar, indeed. Given I found this description of the Q6600 chip on Intel's own web site:

  Note the 10th item in the summary section that says "Intel® 64 Architecture" - and that it has a big green check mark next to it. I would say then it IS a 64 bit chip. The failure of Win 7 X64 to install on this is not because of the chip's capability or lack thereof.
  
  Outside of Netbook chips, I don't believe they make anything in the 32 bit only class any more.
  
  At any rate.. This may be a bug of some sort. Might want to fire off some feedback at the folks in Redmond with the details of your failure to install Win 7 64 on a modern quad core 64 bit chip based system.

  Well I am so SORRY to say I wish I could copy and paste from my systems page BUT! it plainly states my system is a 32 bit operating system. so unless Intel and HP put it wrong on my computer it is a 32 bit. Thanks for looking that up though I found it very interesting. Have a good one chamblisstom@bellsouth.net

   You're welcome... Sheesh.. Wasn't trying to dis you... Just pointing out that the box SHOULD be able to handle Win 7 X64 and my point still stands - if you got an error message saying it won't install, then you probably should report it so that bug can get sorted out. I wasn't doubting what you said - that you couldn't install the 64 bit version for some reason or other...
