Why group policy setting in registry didn't set for enable dfs loopback target?

    Question

  • Hi guys hope all of you be OK.

I have a problem with MY DFS which is the system who shared folder and i set it in DFS can see the folder in DFS namespace.

I can resolve this problem with a registry setting in HKLM\SYSTEM\Currentcosoleset\services\Mup\parameters and add the EnableDFsLoopbakTargets with REG-DWORD with value 1 decimal in one client and i want to set this registry with my group policy so i don't have to set this for every System.

I set the registry but it wont work for some system and the DC i have.?

I want to know why the registry setting didn't work?

    Thank you all.

  • Hi,

Have you run gpresult /r command to check if group policy is applied or not on the problematic machines?

What systems have these problematic machines?
