Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Save/Open Window not showing Scrollbar for SharePoint sites RRS feed

  • Question

  • When trying to save to SharePoint using a Microsoft Office application such as Word or Excel, the Save As window does not show a scroll bar even though there are more items in the SharePoint site/document library than can be displayed in the Save As window. Users have to click on one of the items and use arrow key on keyboard to move down the list.

  • Hi,

As you posted the question in this forum, you are using Office 2013?

I just tested on my Office 2013, the scroll bar displayed correctly.

Can you use the mouse to enlarge the Save as window?

I suggest you provide some screenshots of the issue, you can send the images to our email address below:

  • Thanks Melon,

I have emailed you the screenshots. It happens in Windows 10 with Office 2013 and Windows 7 with Office 2010. Enlarging the window does not help.

Only started seeing this issue after updating SharePoint Foundation 2013 with KB3114503 and KB3114508.

  • Hi guys,

    Sorry for coming back late.

I received the screenshots, but I didn't reproduce this on my side.

You can try uninstalling KB3114503 and KB3114508 to try again.

As Quigley0908 mentioned, this issue also occurs to PDFs, I suspect it's not Office only.

@piz @Quigley0908 Do you also have installed the mentioned KBs?

  • I do, but you cannot uninstall SharePoint updates. When you try to right click on the update, it does nothing. And there is no uninstall option otherwise. I think this coincides with having to do the CU configuration wizard, as to why you cannot uninstall SP updates.

  • We to are seeing the same issue, we installed the APRIL CU for SharePoint and that seems to have kicked of the issue. This is very painful.
We are seeing it with Windows 10 office 2013 and Windows 7 and Office 2010.
