Thin Client Export to Excel on Windows 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Proclarity6.3 Web Standard Export to Excel does not work on our Windows 2003 test server. Hitting the Export link in the top frame displays a Page Not Found error with the random-generated XLS file name in the browser path. Also, downloading files from PAS thin client on Windows 2003 does not work either.

These issues are not a problem on our Production Windows 2000 server. Also, the Thick Client Excel Export works fine on Windows 2003.

I've tried re-installing PAS on the 2003 test server but get the same results.

  • Hi to-bobs,

Thank you for visiting the ProClarity forums.  For the export to Excel to work via the thin client you need to make sure the correct ISAPI filter is installed on the parent website containing the PAS virtual directory.  The following steps should resolve the issue:

    1. Right click on PAS's parent website and select 'Properties', this is generally the default website
    2. Select the "ISAPI Filters" Tab
    3. If the PHttpFilter is not present with a green up arrow status, click Add
    4. Type "PHttpFilter" for the filter name
    5. Click Browse and navigate to "\program files\common files\ProClarity\Server" and select PHttpFilter.dll
    6. Click OK, and then ok again
    7. Stop the website and restart
    8. Retry the export to excel from the end user's IE browser

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Sean,

Yes! The PHttpFilter was missing and when I followed your Fix instructions and retested - not only did this fix the Excel Export issue but also the File download problem as well.

Many thanks for your help with this,
