  • Rich Matheisen: You can use the import-mailbox cmdlet, or exmerge, to do this.

While at least it was possible to use ExMerge with Exchange 2007, it is not officially supported. See the first article for how to setup the 32-bit Management Tools for Import-Mailbox. The bulk import example is also from Henrik Walther’s article.

To import PST files for users in bulk, you must specify the file folder containing the PST files. For example, if you want to import PST files to user mailboxes stored in a specific mailbox database, type:

    Get-Mailbox –Database <name of database> | Import-Mailbox -PSTFolderPath c:\PSTs

To do the same for users in an OU in your Active Directory Forest, use:

    Get-Mailbox -OrganizationalUnit <name of OU> | Import-Mailbox -PSTFolderPath c:\PSTs

  • Hi,

As per my knowledge its not doable because we cannot integrate PST into OWA but you can merge them with outlook just add PST join outlook in Cache mode and move the mails in your exchange folder.

I hope this will help you.

    Regards.

  • Thank you for the reply.  We are moving away from Outlook to hopefully a OWA only email environment.  I was looking for a way to move the legacy files over to the new system without goint through outlook.  If there is no other way to go we are well aware of how to do that just didn;t want to have to set that up just to take it down.

You can use the import-mailbox cmdlet, or exmerge, to do this.

Lots of stuff isn't "officially" supported but still works. It's like
taking MS certification exams -- the answer may not be the right one,
but it's the one MS wants you to supply. :-)
