Anonymous UAG Trunk RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had assistance before concerning the redirection of Trusted and UnTrusted IP addresses to specific UAG trunks which works a dream.

My question is that if I place this script against an anonymous trunk it doesn't work, however if you think about it you aren't going throuh the login process so the script isn't probably being even run.

Is there any way of running this type of script against the portal home page ?

  • The scenario is that we only wish to give a Single URL out to the clients.

Peopleconnecting from a trusted IP address would go to an anonymous UAG trunk. People from an ubtrusted soure will go to a trunk which requires 2FA authentication.

If I setup the single URL to point to the 2FA trunk i can do a redirect if the source IP is a trusted IP to the anonymous trunk (This follows the script you gave me before)

Initially I the single URL was pointing to the anonymous trunk and I was hoping that if the IP address was untrusted then a redirection to the UAG 2FA trunk would occur. This doesn't happen and I'm thinking that due to no login process on the anonymous trunk the script doesn't eben get run. So my question is can this script be ran against access to the actual portal home page ?

  • Hi,

did u try to create your own asp page which does the check and if the ip is trusted it redirects the client to the destination application if the ip is untrusted the client is redirected to the 2FA trunk and you configure this application to be the startup application when the portal is accessed? The script is transparent for the users, does the work u like and redirects automatically to the appropriate trunk or website.

    Cheers,

    Andreas
