Administrator Privledges but Cannot Log into a Desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

I am sure it is a simple answer that I cannot find/think of but here is our scenario.

We have a bunch of laptops deployed out for my company and we want to allow people to install programs onto the computers, but we do not want to allow their Domain accounts have this ability because we only want them to be able to do this on their specific laptop so that we know who installed something they shouldn't have and if we should remove the administrator rights account from them.

The second part of this is where it gets tricky and is confusing me the most.  I am looking for a way to do this without allowing the log into an active desktop with the Administrator account.  Essentially we want them to have an account that when they go to install something they can use the local administrator account we set up for them to install the program desired but they cannot use it to log into an active desktop.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
