NAP Agent does not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • I start using NAP in our network, but there are something strange in our wireless clients.

We've already use WPA to enhance our wireless network security.

The issue is: some wirless users find their network was limited. I  check NPS log and find they meet "NAP DHCP Non NAP-Capable". i need to restart napagent service to fix this issue. But if these clients use wired network, there is not the same issue.

What shall I do to fix this issue?  Thanks!

  • Hi,

We need more information for troubleshooting.

    1.    When did the issue start to occur?
    2.    What’s the OS version of the problematic client?
    3.    Comparing with the guide below, please let us know if there is any NAP configuration difference and let us know the detailed difference if any.

    1. when I start NAP, the issue occured.
    2. Windows XP SP3, and all problemtic clients is notebook computer using wirless network
    3. I follow the guide to config NAP, if need ,i can post our NPS server's configurations.

Confused me the most is that the problemtic clients's wired network is OK.

  • I assume this problem is the same as in the other thread you opened ("A issue about NAP with DHCP enforcement").
In that case, it might be that this hotfix will solve your problems.
Please post back wether it worked or not.
