  • Microsoft Cinema installation repeatedly gives the error - "you are not connected to the internet or the server is not available"  Even after repeated tries, switching off the firewall or after doing a "clean boot", the set up does not proceed beyond this point.  Can someone help?

  • Perform Clean Boot

     

    When you start Windows normally, there are a number of programs that start automatically and run in the background. These programs, which may include system utility programs, interfere with installation of the IntelliPoint software. To avoid this perform Clean Boot.

     

    1.      Click Start; click Run, type Msconfig, and then click OK.

    2.      In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click the General tab, and then click Selective Startup.

    3.      Click to clear the Process SYSTEM.INI File check box.

    4.      Click to clear the Process WIN.INI File check box.

    5.      Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.

    6.      Click the Services tab.

    7.      Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.

    8.      Click Disable All, and then click OK..

    9.      When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.

    10.  Now, try to install the software.
