  • Question

  • Hi all,

I'm developing POS system which is run on "windows embedded posready 2009" OS platform.I have data synchronization process which has implemented using sql server integration services.Ultimately the ssis package is running on schduled intervels.I've enable the transaction option in SSIS package but it requires to enable "SNA LU 6.2 Transactions" which is usually locate in Administrative Tools-->Componenet Services -- > Computers -- >My Computer --> Distributed Transaction Coordinator , Then Right Click it and goto properties then switch to security tab . In my development machine i can enable this option and its perfectly working but when i deploy to the actual POS machine which is run under "windows embedded posready 2009" OS there is no such option call "SNA LU 6.2 Transactions",I need to enable this to ensure distributed transactions get worked correctly. Can any body help me to solve this ?? :) i've attached the screen shot of both development machine config and POS machine config, please see the attahcments.

This is devlopment Environment ( OS is Windows 7 )

  • By any chance do you have Host Integration Server installed on your development system?

  • Dimuthu,

Have you tested on XP Professional?  Do you experience the same behavior as Windows 7 or POSReady 2009 when you run your app on XP Professional? Have you tried POSReady 7?

  • Dimuthu,

I understand that your target environment is POSReady 2009.  I merely wanted to make sure you were aware of POSReady 7, which would be more similar to your development environment.  Back to my first question though.  Have you verified that your solution works on XP Professional?  I am trying to determine if you are experiencing different behavior on XP Professional verse POSReady 2009.

  • Dimuthu,

Given that POSReady 2009 and XP Professional are the same, this is by design.  Your solution must take this into account.
