Bose Bluetooth Headphones Won't Pair with Surface Book RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just got a great new pair of Bose bluetooth headphones that are amazing and work great with all my devices....except my Surface Book.  When I try to pair my headphones with my Surface Book, one of two scenarios occurs.  1. The device isn't ever found and does not come up in the list of devices to pair, OR 2. The device is found but is not able to connect.

I know that the headphones work because I've paired them with at least 4 other devices (they can store up to 8 at a time).  Why is my Surface Book not recognizing the connection or not able to make the connection?  Does it have anything to do with Windows 10?  I've checked all of my Bluetooth drivers and they're up to date (as far as I can tell).  I'm at a loss for what to do!

  • Hi,

Please see if you have installed the latest Firmware of Surface book.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/deploy-the-latest-firmware-and-drivers-for-surface-devices

After that, please try to clear all Bluetooth devices history, open Device manager to remove Bluetooth driver, Scan changes, and update it again to see if it can work for you.

In addition, I would like to know the detailed model of your Headphone, seems there are several similar issues, I also need to know if the device cannot pair only on Windows 10.

  • Make sure to check if your headphones are connected to another device.
