I am in the process of setting up IBCM with our SCCM 2012 environment. This is a single primary site environment that includes 2 intranet site servers and a DMZ site server that has a MP and DP working great. Due to the way client sup scanning
is handled, I'd like to move the SUP to the DMZ server to reduce impact and delays when the client changes SUP.
Current SUP Setup (internal only)
CM01
SQL - CMDB and SSRS Only
CM02
SUP with Windows Internal Database
DMZ Server
No WSUS or SUP
Goal SUP Setup (support intranet and internet clients)
CM01
SQL - CMDB, SSRS, SUSDB
CM02
No WSUS or SUP
DMZ Server
SUP with WSUS database on CM01
I do already have software updates being deployed to a pilot group of workstations and servers, so there are several software update groups with deployments and ADRs setup. My concern is how I can retain those while re-installing the roles in the new
location. Does removing the SUP and WSUS from the current server impact current deployments?
