Insufficient Permission Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a user that is unable to add an enterprise resource to a specific schedule in MS Project Professional. I have checked the user's permissions in server, PWA and the specific project to ensure that they have the proper permissions to add resources. They are able to add a resource to a newly created schedule, but not this specific schedule that they are supposed to be managing. Any idea as to what could be causing the insufficient permission issue.

  • Hi,

Is the project belonging to a custom security category?

Can you try to ask a user with the EXACT same permissions to open the given project?

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Guillaume,

I had a user with the EXACT same permissions attempt to add resources to the same project and that user received the same exact error message about insufficient permissions. The administrator and myself do not get that error message. Where do I find the custom security category? This is a difficult situation because I am a consultant for the company and do not have full insight into how their projects are setup in PWA.
