Hi Strongbad2,
Technically, it is possibly for a VM.
But I'm not sure if there would be any effect on SQL application.
You may post in SQL forum to see if anyone have tested the operation before.
Best Regards,
Leo

"Is it possible to decrease the number of virtual CPU assigned to the Hyper-V VM from 4 to 2?"
As Leo says, yes it is possible. Open the settings for the VM and change the value.
But, as Leo says, it may impact the performance.
