Public folder error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are in the process of decommissioning one exchange public folder server.

A public folder database resides on that server. We require to find out the data in the public folder using pfdavdmin.

However error message is generated after we launch the pfdavadmin tool

Error Message : An error occured while trying to connect to the exchange server.Be Sure that port 443 (for ssl) or port 80 for non ssl can be reached. If you are connected to public folders be sure that the folder folder store is mounted. If you are connecting to mailboxes and the progress bar shows a particular mailbox, be sure that the user has atleast one email address.

Exception : Failed to connect using secure URL https://server name/ExAdmin/Admin/domain.com

    Please help.

    Regards, Ajit

  • Hello,

Please make sure the PFDAVAdmin connect to exchange 2003/2007 or exchange 2010.

PFDAVAdmin cannot connect to exchange 2010 servers, because WebDAV is gone from 2010. If you need similar functionality for Exchange 2010, please use ExFolders instead.

If the PFDAVAdmin connects to exchange 2007, please make sure you use the latest version of the PFDavAdmin.

Here is the blog for your reference.

    PFDAVAdmin update is now released
