Count number of daily emails on Exchange 2007

  You need to use the Message Tracking Logs to gather that information. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124926(EXCHG.80).aspx

  As Will said, there isn’t direct way to get number of message send/receive per day. You may need to get it from Message tracking log.

   

  You can also use Log Parser to scan message tracking logs and get the message count.

  Count message communication per day

  ·         Performance monitor: it can get total messages received and total messages sent.  You need to take the step of matching today’s numbers with yesterdays to determine how many were sent today or yesterday

  ·         Exchange Profile Analyzer: The reports give an average message sent/received per day

  You can use a simple technique.

  Create a folder and keep it empty.

  Whenever you want to count any number of any emails just select them and move them to that folder, it will give you the total.

  After that, you can simply select them again and return them to original folder.
