Server freezes for no reason RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning, in my work we have a server installed on a client, for about 2 weeks it stops responding every few hours and the only way it works again is to restart it, this our client has to do because we lose the Remote access when this happens, the server is used for sending, receiving and storage of medical images, has more than enough resources for the tasks performed (xeon 4 cores, 20gb ram) (we have similar ones installed and this does not happen ), It was searched for virus with avira and malwarebytes, the latest updates of windows, cleaned records, check that it has no suspicious software installed, the only rare thing is the consumption of resources, the processor is very high even in Hours in which the server is inactive (svchost processes consuming + 30% and 500mb of memory), the memory is stable but when it stops responding it goes up to more than 15gb, also from time to time opens the page "www .loteriadehoy. Com "we notice that there are exemptions from the browser or programs but it continues to open without cause.

If you could help me I would appreciate it.

    Greetings.

  • Hi SePr3,

For Server hangs issue, it became possible to force a crash dump to assist with determining why the server hung. Microsoft introduced this feature in Knowledge Base article 244139.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/244139

It allows a keystroke combination (right CTRL+SCROLL LOCK twice) to generate a crash dump on PS/2-type keyboards. Please refer to the link below troubleshooting Server Hangs.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Hi, I was able to solve the problem of freezing but the page www.loteriadehoy.com, it is still open alone, now not only in this server, but in 2 more, the rarer is that if I go to the ip of that page (192.95.59.244) takes me to this site http://www.wehackedyou.com/
