Biztalk Adapter for Websphere MQ (MQSC) & Multi-instance queue managers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to find out if the latest MQSC adapter supports the new multi-instance queue manager feature in Websphere MQ 7.0.1, mainly the automatic client reconnection function if the standby queue manager becomes active. Is the possible with BT2010 and HIS2010 MQSC adapter?

  • I also checked on this and the answer regarding support for the automatic client reconnection is no. MQSC uses Managed C# and C++ APIs and it doesn't appear that these are supported for this feature based on the IBM docs.

    Thanks...

  • Hi,

HIS 2010 supports clustered MQSeries Queue Managers but as far as I know the automatic client reconnection function is NOT implemented in HIS 2010 MQSC.

  • Okay thanks guys for the answers, much appreciated. We will look at a queue manager cluster for our MQ server instead of the multi-instance queue manager, less problems for our BizTalk applications.
