  • Question

  • Anyone have an idea about how to fix this error in Windows 10?:

    "Skype for business has stopped working..."

    ... I need to use Lync to perform my work, but now in Office 2016 this feature launches as Skype for business and seems that it is not compatible with Windows 10.

    I will really appreciate your help and assistance in order to solve this issue... by the way... The version of Skype for desktop works just fine...

    Receive mu best regards!

  • Hi,

    I'm using Skype for Business in Windows 10, it works well and I'm not seeing any issue, I mean they are compatible.

    You can try these steps below:

    First you can run “sfc /scannow” from an elevated Command Prompt and reboot your computer afterwards;
    1. Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).
      • If you don’t see this, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin)
    2. Behind the prompt type: sfc /scannow
      (note the space in the command)
    3. Wait until the process completes.
    4. Restart your computer and check the result.

    You can also perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Skype for Business:

    If the issue persists, please collect the event logs and send to this email address below for analysis:
