MDT errors

    Question

  • I've been successfully using MDT (on a test PC) to create a Win 10 reference image. I made a few changes and it doesn't work. Ok, so I remove those changes and it still doesn't work. After several tries and looking up errors, nothing. I put a fresh Win install on the PC and setup MDT all over again and then tried everything again. Same errors even though things are setup exactly the same before I made any changes. I attached an image of the failure screen in hopes someone can help, as I'm completely at a loss as what to do next.

    Thanks,

    Nathan

  • Found the issue. After much tinkering it came down to the specific install of Visual C++ 2005.

For some reason, the install didn't like to install 2005.

    I've extracted a file from the vcredist_x##.EXE.
On the extracted file, extracted two files from it, an MSI and a CAB.
    I installed using the vcredist.msi /qb.

How it worked before is beyond me. Grrr lol
