ATA Internal PKI Certificate - NOT SUPPORTED RRS feed

  • Question

  • While installing ATA  in Windows 2012 R2 machine, and choosing a custom certificate (Web Server template) from our internal PKI, the ATA wizard shows that this certificate is not supported.

So what is the supported criteria for the ATA Center certificate?

  • Hi Ammar,

Supported Criteria for ATA Center certificates are as follows:

    1. Certificate must have a private key
    2. Certificate must be CSP
    3. The certificate's public key length is 2048 bits

  • Hi Janelle,

can you expand on that? ATA does not support KSP generated certificates? We have recently changed  internal PKI from CSP to KSP to support SHA256. What practically is needed to make ATA work with this kind of PKI?

    Best regards, Dan

@Ammar: the legacy Web template is may be based on 1024 Key only.
