After first call of project webaccess I get error message. If I refresh to F5 the default page will displayed correctly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello alltogether,

after first call of project webaccess default site I get error message:

Diese Instanz von Project Web App ist nicht verfügbar, da keine Instanzen von Project-Anwendungsdiensten zum Bedienen dieser PSI-Anforderung gestartet wurden. Wenden Sie sich an den Administrator, um zu überprüfen, ob mindestens eine Instanz des Project-Anwendungsdiensts in dieser Farm aktiviert ist.

If I refresh to F5 the default page will be displayed correctly.

Any idea how I can solve the problem?

  • HI there,

    After translation into English,
     "
This instance of Project Web Access is not available, since no instances of ProjectApplication Services for the operation of these PSI requirements were started.Contact the administrator to check whether at least one instance is enabled the Project Application Service on this farm."

Did you try to restart the Project Application services in services on server under Sharepoint central administration ?

    A similar thread might help

  • Thank for translation Amit.

The similar tread did not help. All application pools running.

In Central Administration the Project Application Services is running now. I take a look tomorrow morning at first to Project Application Services is running before I will call Project default page. Than I come back.

  • Hello Amit,

before I try again today I check Central Administration if Project Application Services is running.

    - Project Application Services is running

I check too all Application Pools on Frontend Server if there are running

    - all Application Pools running except "SharePoint Web Services Root"

I call pwa site and the same error is comming. If I refresh the site, the site is displayed as expected.

  • Hi there,

Sorry to jump in on this thread, the issue must be some sort of timeout. Have you checked the SharePoint ULS logs at the time of the error?

If you can't get to the bottom of the issue I would add a warmup script to hit all the sites after the IIS app pools have recycled. A good solution for this is SPwake3:

    Hope that helps

  • No Paul, you are welcome with your ideas.

I think the solution is not a warm.up script. It has to go without. I will check the logs and after I come back.
