Reseting Normal.dotm RRS feed

  • Question

  • No matter how manu times i repace normal.dotm i can't seem to reset it to it's original state using a good copy of normal.dotm using office 2010 in a windows 7 environment.

    The simplest way to reset Normal.dot is to check where it is stored for your user account, then close Word and delete the file. Word will create a new one when it restarts.
     
     
    Or you could rename the file, just in case there is something you need to reuse. :-)

    The simplest way to reset Normal.dot is to check where it is stored for your user account, then close Word and delete the file. Word will create a new one when it restarts.
