Alternatives to allowing changes being made to my computer (Windows 10 S) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been recommended to turn the Microsoft time application on, thus allowing Microsoft Windows to make changes to my computer. How long does this option last? Also, the certificate offered, when prompted to allow such permission, is out of date. What should I do to protect myself and what other options do I have?

  • I haven’t heard a app called Microsoft time, who tell you turn it on and where you find it?

Besides, computer is your own device, you will get UAC prompt when Windows want to make change on it, rather than the other way around.

If you want to protect yourself, just keep system is up to date and turn on Windows Defender.
