Open document by dragging onto running's app icon on auto-hidden taskbar RRS feed

  • Taskbar autohide is set to ON.

    UI status: some apps open and running, taskbar is hidden, windows explorer window open.

    One wants to open a txt ascii document in one of running and open apps by

    dragging document's icon to hidden taskbar than targeting it to the icon of open and running app.

    It worked long time very well. Now suddenly the taskbar does not unhide

    while dragging documents icon onto it.

    What is the reason and possible solution?

    Based on your description, I want to confirm that have you made some changes with your system before the issue occurred?

     

    Since the setting is related to user profile, please try another new user account and check the result.

     

    We may also try to change related settings to make Taskbar always on the bottom, not hide. Then, restart, and reset the setting to make it auto-hide.
