Fast Search Keywords vs. Search Keywords RRS feed

    Hi,

    In case i'm using Fast for Sharepoint - i see in site settings "Fast Search Keywords" as well as  "Search Keywords".

    What is the difference, does only the FAST Search keywords is relevant?

    Hello keren,

    You are correct. When using FAST you will use the "FAST Search Keywords" section which also included visual best bets. The "Search Keywords" section is used by the built-in SharePoint search. And remember, even if you install FAST for SharePoint, the built-in search is still there if you for some reason decide to use for regular crawls (and it's used for people search via the FAST Query SSA).

    Hi Mikael,

    I just wanted to ask for clarification on your post. Can we add Search Keywords for People Search?

    Hi Kevin,

    SharePoint keywords does not work with People search. You have to add them as nicknames (see blog post).
