Risks/Impacts when you don't apply Exchange 2007 SP3 Update Rollup 18 [KB3078672] to all Exchange 2007 servers in the environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, Guys.

    Need your assistance on this.

Are there any risks/impacts/issues when you don't apply Exchange 2007 SP3 Update Rollup 18 [KB3078672] to all Exchange 2007 servers in your environment? If so, do you have any supporting articles/documentation to prove such?

Would it be okay to have any mismatch in terms of update rollup in the environment? Would it be okay if all the Exchange 2007 servers are in different RU patch level? If so, do you have any supporting articles/documentation to prove such? Please advise.

    Thank you.

  • Hi IrWinBats,

    Welcome to our forum.

We could keep Exchange server with different CU, it is supported. If there are any issues when Exchange server are in different CU, welcome to our forum to get help, but we could not find any document which support different CU for you.

Microsoft recommend we update all Exchange servers with same CU.

    Best Regard,

    Jim Xu

  • Please note that our Exchange 2007 servers are Standalone/non-clustered mailbox servers. Should they be fine if they are in the state that they are not in the same RU version? Please advise.

    Thank you.
