  • We see that from time to time on a few of our systems.  One computer just kept doing it.  After a mem test it turned out that was the culprit.  Another time we reinstalled Adobe Pro.  Seems it was trampling on memory space or something with SCCM.  Run some diagnotics on the machines, memory, disk, defrag etc.  Try repairing or reinstalling the client.  Look what else "starts up" after you boot/login.  I going to assume this is when it happens to you right?  Not any other time.

  • Yes, the error message appears on boot.

Cant see it being a physical memory issue on this PC as its on a new Dell optiplex 960 installed early last week.

at startup with have a couple of scripts & GPo's running. after login we have a login script which maps drives, & connects to network printers using con2prt & launches IE with our intranet in. kaspersky is installed & is set to scan/update after 5 mins so shouldnt effect startup.

This machine does have SQL server developer & VS2008 installed. Its been fine for a week or so.
